HUMAN TEETH AND BEETLE
This totally creepy one of a kind statement necklace is made with real fake human dentures set into a hand sculpted heart shape... and inside the resin heart is a layer of real beetle wing pieces from Thailand.
These crushed pieces of beetle wing are by products of a food chain in Thailand, The beetles are farmed and raised in forests where they complete their life cycle and then at the end of the season they are picked up off the floor where they lay deceased , and put into baskets, then the wings are discarded and the bodies of the beetle are ground up into powder to use as a food product which is commonplace in Asia.
I buy the by-product , the green beetle wings, from a Thai fellow who uses the extra cash to help towards his children's education.
The pendant itself measures 9cm by 7cm by 2.5cm deep.
The chain used in this piece is stainless steel with a carabiner clip.
let me know in the notes at checkout if you require a specific length of chunky chain.. otherwise it will come on a 24" long chain.. this might be too long for some people so please see the last picture to help with sizing. I can change the length chain free of charge...
