DEAD GOOD JEWELLERY

Press

In 2019 i was personally endorsed by Brian Froud the English fantasy illustrator and conceptual designer. He is most widely known for his 1978 book Faeries with Alan Lee, and as the conceptual designer of the Jim Henson films The Dark Crystal (1982) and Labyrinth (1986). He came into my market stall ''Nicola Hebson's Curiosity Shop'' at the Fairy festival in Cornwall in 2019, he bought 3 of my pieces and we had a long conversation about his love of oddities, taxidermy, folklore, nature spirits, nature as a source of inspiration, the balance between light and dark .... The last thing he said to me was ''you are doing very important work'' . Im still stunned this actually happened because his work has been a huge influence on my whole childhood and adult career as an artist. You can see the photographs of our meeting on my personal Instagram page.
